THE DREAMSCAPE
The Dreamscape is the realm to which Sleep draws Her Vessels— It is not one place but many, layered over and within each other. Time here bends and distance lies to your eyes. Gravity may fail, and your identity may slip through your fingers like water— You may find yourself with a younger or older appearance here, or perhaps something completely new, just like any dream, or nightmare. In Dreamscapes, characters also have access to their canon abilities, items, and so on, so long as you have the focus and lucidity to dream it.
Recently, it was discovered that the vessel One is the dreamwalker responsible for pulling others into his dreams and sharing them, thus serving as a conduit for Sleep to act.

The Waking World
After Sleep's awakening, cities across this Earth collapsed into ruin— including this one, a place that was once known as New York City. Highways are split open like open wounds, stores are ransacked, neon signs are dull and dead over empty streets, and bridges are torn down and impossible to cross. Nature has begun to reclaim what was stolen, but it too is sickened— overgrown with monstrous roots and fungal blooms.
What survivors remain are now monsters called Hosts, roaming the city at night and slumbering by day: twisted things that might once have been human.

The Subway
The subway and its tunnels have been claimed by Sleep and her Hosts, who gather there in numbers too dense to count. The walls sweat with hostility while the air is thick with fungal spores that smother one's lungs and thought alike. The deeper you go, the harder it is to survive. Your threats are also more than physical— Succumbence too, runs rampant down here, and seeps into your psyche like a starving parasite.
During the January event Levitate, it was discovered that Two's fragment was trapped beneath the subway. Due to player efforts, the fragment has been retrieved, and the subway destroyed. This caused an influx of Host population on the topside of town, turning the city more dangerous day and night.

The Interstice
The Interstice is a hostile, liminal realm opened through One by unknown means, existing as a space of voidness and pervasive fungal spore growth, where reality feels thinned and unstable. It is the place to which One sent the Numerals himself, and where Espera was taken for a time, cut off from contact and influence. Little is currently understood about its structure, rules, or purpose beyond its capacity to contain and isolate powerful entities. What is known suggests it is not a natural realm, but a deliberately accessed or created space. Conversations with NPCs have insinuated that Sleep's physical body remains trapped here— And what's worse, Vessels who have been touched by death here will see themselves within the Interstice for a moment's time before they are revived, with a grim image and words to behold . . .
